1 Oct 2005, Girls U11 (report 2): Oswald Rd 2 – 2 Wythenshawe Town (HT: 0-1)

This was a very tough game as in the 1^st half they were leading 1-0 with a very tricky shot that just got in. There was a hurricane that was bowling against us in the first half and most shots were slowed by the wind. In the 2^nd half we were a million times better as Katie showed what she can do in defence and midfield with some excellent tackles and passes. SophieA whacked in an equalizer off the post, so it was then 1-1. After that we had 3 or 4 free kicks as Ruqayyah was tripped twice and Angharad kicked. Minutes after one of the free kicks our hard player, Katie, flicked the ball into the corner of the net, getting the score to 2-1 to Oswald Rd. This was when most of us said to either just keep it like that till the end of the game or score again but 7 minutes after our 2^nd goal they scored making it 2-2. A close game, just minutes later the referee blew the whistle and it was a draw. The 2^nd draw for Oswald Rd. It was a brilliant match for us.
